Euphorbia characias 'Glacier Blue' is a tough, drought tolerant, yet extremely attractive perennial. It features blue-gray foliage outlined in creamy white. The white flower clusters occur in February through May. If you were disappointed with similar looking Euphorbia 'Tasmanian Tiger', try planting 'Glacier Blue'. This plant is much tougher and also much longer lived. It can withstand temperatures to zero degrees F. and sails through wet, cold winters to look great in spring. Plant it in well drained soil, in sun or part shade. Warning: the sap is harmful to eyes. Always wear gloves and glasses when working with this plant and if any sap gets in your eyes, wash them out thoroughly immediately.
